I am on Humira and I am writing to find out if anyone else on Humira could fill me in on the side effects?  I am watching out for any and all side effects but I am not really sure what they could be.  I appreciate any help and information I could get.

I had no side effects, but if you really want to know what they could be I would pull up Humira's web site. take care
48 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. December '06 had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now just taking Glycolax, Ultra Fiber Plus, probiotics, and vicodin as needed. Experimenting with gluten-free diet per naturopath's tests.

Oh, man, I can't wait.... I've had four syringes of Humira sitting in my fridge since Friday afternoon. Doc says I can't start on it til my office visit on Tuesday. They want to make sure that I don't have any reaction to it. I'm just so anxious... I want to drop trou and start jabbing now! : )

I've heard that it takes anywhere from a couple weeks to several months to see any results. Would like to hear how long it took to see any results from our forum Humira users.

I always think it's best not to worry yourself too much about having side effects. Look at the literature a bit and then put it aside. Let the Humira do its job. Of course, if you notice anything unusual, call your doctor immediately. probably and hopefully won't have any problems. I have not had any side effects from it at all except for some reddness and slight swelling at the site of the injection. To me, that's nothing compared to the great results I have had from the drug.

CrohnDaddy, I hope you do well on Humira. I am glad you are going into it with such eagerness. It took me about three months for all my symptoms to go away, but I noticed some good changes within the first month.

I've been on Humira about 4 months now and the only noticable side effects I've had are period itching all over body but when I take Benadryl it goes away I run a low grade fever a lot since I started Humira, not sure if that's normal for everyone but it can't be a coincidence cuz that's never been a problem for me before. On any give day (and I can tell when it comes on) my temp will run about 100, makes me very tired when that happens, guess my body is using all it's strength to fight the fever.
Anyway, those minimal side effects will not deter me from continuing with the Humira, it took about 2 weeks for me to feel better but it has made a world of difference for it!
Good luck!

I've had zero side effects. Little red around the injection site on occasion, but that's it.

Yes, it does hurt. A good bit, and that's coming from someone with two tattoos (which hurt less than the shot, in my opinion), but I'll take it any day over my Crohn's symptoms.

CrohnDaddy, good luck! I noticed very good things quite quickly, within the first month. When I was on Remicade, I also had a fast recovery. Hopefully, you'll do the same!!
