If he is still there...Dr. Galozouis at the Univ of Chicago.  He has performed sx on me, however, in NW Indiana where I am at.  I have had 3 sx & I think he is the best.  If it wasn't for him, I would have went into Chicago.  God Bless!!

Dx with CD 1987, 3 resections, 3 abcess sx, DD back & hips, bulging disk, Major depression/anxiety, kidney stones & sx to remove, now 44 yrs old.  Still trying to figure this disease out & of course all the little extra complications that come with this rollarcoaster of a life with CD.

I have Crohn's disease and I transferred to University of Chicago Hospital because my suburban hospital just wasn't doing the job.

Dr. Roger Hurst-just handles inflammatory bowel disease surgeries (crohn's, UC) and is a leader in the field.

If you need a good GI I recommend Dr. David Rubin at University of Chicago.

I second Dr. Hurst at Univ of Chicago.  He's cut on me several times.  For my GI, I see Dr. Hanauer at Univ of Chicago - Dr. Rubin that Erica mentioned is in the same group.
