I was recently browsing throught the book store to see if there were any new books relating to Crohn's or IBD. After purusing throught several offerings. I thought I would recommend one. Crohn's and Colitis, understanding and managing IBD, by Dr. Hilary Steinhart. I'm sure this book has been discussed here at some point before, but to any newcomers, that are likely confused and looking for some answers, this book would be of value to them. The beauty of it is in how the book is laid out, it's kind of like a Crohn's for dummies approach. It's written in a question answer format as well, and well broken up in easy to read and review sections.
My daughter was diagnosed Feb. 19/07, (13 yrs. old at time of diagnosis), with Crohn's of the Terminal Illium. Initially, 9 weeks of Prednisone, currently taking 2000mgs of Pentasa.

73monte...thanks for recommending the book! I love getting my hands on any new books out there I haven't read about IBD. How hard it must be for your daughter being so young to have Crohn's. I wish her
well. I can't imagine the worry as a mom, for your child to have this. I am always over fretting with my two boys, praying they will not get this dreaded disease! Take care.
