I just started taking Sulfasalazine 4000 mg per day  today. It is used for treating both Crohn's and rheumatoid arthritis.  I believe I have the early signs of rheumatoid arthritis as well ,sometimes knees and hands ache.  I have also had eczema on my hand for years.  This Wikipedia link tells all, or at least most of the conditions associated with crohn's disease. It's my favorite info link I give it out all the time. Here it is:   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crohn%27s_disease#_note-HanauerCrohns

I have CD, Vitiligo, and another skin thing starting (eczema or psoriasis ?). I am also starting to get some joint pain in my hands...WOW!  I am either a hypochodriac or just falling apart at the seams at 41.....

I have Grave's disease. Oh, and that whole "Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 1" thing, which I still have no idea what that means. Combine that with some really malevolent intestines that need no introduction and which laugh in the face of a differential diagnosis, and you've got Sarita Syndrome!

I have been lucky enough to have Crohn's and Colitis, as well as celiac disease, and we're looking into RA now....I've had some x-rays and have a referrel for an rheumetologist.  Colitis isn't a definitive AutoImmune Disease yet, nor is endometriosis, but I have (had with the latter...hyst took care of that) those too.

I have only one that I know of but I swear something else is going on with my joints other than fibromyalgia. I have stiffness in the mornings and hard time moving after sitting for a while. you should see me get out of my car after my commute! I have a feeling my second diagnosis is soon to come..... Karen

What does  fibromyalgia feel like?  Lately my face hurts.  My back has hurt off and on for years.  The last 3 days I've had a low fever and every joint in my body aches.  I don't know if it's the flu or something else going on.  I can barely move. Just fever and aches but nothing else like sore throught or conjestion. I have had a really bad headache for two or three days as well.  I think It's the flu but I don't know.  I ate KFC the other day and boy was I ever sorry.  I had terrible abdominal pain all night.  I think it was the coleslaw.  I was weak and couldn't turn it down.  It was so good, I havn't had KFC in years sad . How do you tell the difference between the flu and possible infection in your guts or something? I feel like I'm falling apart too!

I have crohn's, and eczema, and asthma, and I've got a ton of 3+ and 4+ allergies to plants and animals, and have a few food allergies too.  It does seem that when our immune systems flip out they aren't particularly picky about what parts of us they go and beat up.

debbikay, Fibromyalgia is pain mostly in the joints. I am not 100% sure how to explain it. When getting up from a chair after sitting a while I would barely be able to stand. All my joints hurt but I do not have redness and swelling (which may mean something else like arthritis) you may want to see a rheumy and see if there is something else going on. many of us have joint problems and a rheumy can tell what is happening to you. Sarita,

Well, looking on the bright side, maybe they WILL name it after you. Immortality of a dubious sort, to say the least!

Metallichic :)

Are you sure that it's not crohns-colitis you have (crohns affecting the colon) rather than both crohns and UC? CD can affect the entire GI tract in more than one area at a time and when it's affecting the colon it's referred to as "crohns colitis".

I also have Inflammatory Arthritis which is also caused by inflammation in the good ....oops....bad old body of mine. Kinda have to wonder why I was the chosen one for the bad gean in my family.
