I've had Crohn's for 14yrs. Last week, upon returning from a trip to Britain, I suddenly developed weird symptoms. I started passing large amounts of gas and small amounts of yellow, watery poo. What was strange is that when i normally get gas (and i DO get gas cuz i also have a colostomy), it justs lasts for a bit, passes then i'm ok. But the gas that i've had lasts all day and in great amounts. I don't even feel bloated, it just suddenly appears and passes. The stools too are strange -- kinda like baby poo. No matter what i eat, it's the same -- even if i eat my "safe" foods. I've also experienced some cramps with the gas. Last night after going to bed, they were the worst! It felt like my colon was going to explode! But it eventually passes to relieve the pain and then continued to pass throughout the night.
I'm calling my GI tomorrow to see what he thinks, but thought i'd ask here to see if anyone's had gas problems like this before.

Maybe you picked up a bug in Britain. Glad you are seeing the doc. One suggestion I might make, maybe taking some probiotics to put good bacteria back into your gut might help. I know they have been very helpful to me. Even have hubby taking them and he's healthy as a horse and he has noticed a big difference in his poo's and gas. Good luck sweetie.
