A very sweet young 24 year old woman I work with was attacked and almost kidnapped and carjacked yesterday at a local mall.  She fought with the guy because he was trying to push her into her trunk and he ended up stabbing her 5 times in her upper body and hand.  They have done surgery and she is in serious but stable condition.  Her name is Betsy, those of you who pray, would you please lift her up in prayer?
In one good note, the guy was caught and is being charged with attempted murder.  There were plenty of witnesses so he won't be getting off for this one.
Thanks Crohnie's~

How awful, and I sure will pray for Betsy.  I am glad she is safe but to be in the hospital and have been so traumatized is just so sad.   Why do bad things happen to good people?

Thanks for sharing this with us>

That is so sad. Hopefully she won't be too traumatized from this. She'll need a lot of support from her friends and co-workers for a long time to come. I hope the person who did this serves a very long time in jail.

How awful, I hope she recovers from this both mentally and physically very quickly, although I'm sure she'll struggle with it mentally for quite some time...sending best wishes to your friend.

What a smart, smart woman she is! To have fought him and not get in the car. I read once that your chances for surviving this type of kidnapping are extremely slim and to never get in the car. A prayer has been sent.

I have been out of work but co-workers have called and said she is doing well. My boss said she sounded pretty positive. I personally think this is just shock still, but I am definetly keeping on my prayers for her. The guy did a interview with a local news station and he would only say "I am innocent". Yeah right buddy, there are witnesses who identified you. And they took him to Betsy's hospital room and she was able to identify him too. Thanks for all the prayers for her. She really is an amazing young lady and I know she would appreciate knowing so many are praying for her. I will keep you all posted.
