Crohn and TV

HOUSE had an episode in the 1st season with a Santa Claus who had INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE. "It's bad enough having to go every hour but when the kiddies jump in my lap...ugh!" I bet it was Crohn's and I bet the reason they didn't SAY Crohn's is because not many people would have gotten "the joke"!

House prescribed him a cigarrette a day. I, personally, would rather deal with my bowels than smell like smoke. :)

There was an episode of ER last year that showed a patient with Crohn's. It was actually quite scary. The poor patient was bleeding all over the place. Can't remember what happened. But I do remember it being quite dramatic! Makes for a better show!

The following link does the best job I've seen of recapping a Private Practice episode where a patient is diagnosed with Crohn's...but only after many docs had assumed that the problems were not real, but in her head.

House has had episodes where he has ruled out Crohn's disease as the problem for patients and it has been identified by name.  I have all of the complete DVD Seasons of House.............
