hey guys after 12 weeks of trying the drug or placibo the research center decided to let me in on the open that means I am taking the drug(orencia)  abatacept . I got my first IV  medication  last week ....but nothing changed I have more pain and more diahrea. the research nurse told me that if I am not feeling better that I can make a appt to see my GI (witch he's the research dr also) and he can RX predinisone or entocort.I see him next moth anyway for my physical so  will talk to him then and see....the good thing about it is that my knees are much better.....It is use for RA ...
so that's my news
35 yr old,female,dx with depression 2002,crohn's july 13 07 in a new trial study for orencia( abatacept )

I hope it works for your gut too... the more meds we have the better... gives us all options.

Also have Arthritis, and feel like I am falling apart sometimes...

HI Was wandering how you are doing. Glad your RA is some better and hoping that the CD improves. I had a resection done 4 weeks ago and now feeling better then I have for awhile lowering the pred. now down to 15 mgs ans on Imuran. See you haven't been on your new med long hopefully it will kick in soon. I have heard that people are having good results on that drug, hoping the best for you. lol gail
