Hey there again, i have a least once a week i get to where i don't go for 2-3 day at a time...nothing in my diet has changed and i am a constant 3-4x a day diareha person......i have thickening, narrowing and distention of the TI, could it possibly be the narrowing of the TI that is causing my problems, i go and see the GI on march 3, so i will ask him as well, and i know that they can do inflation of the narrowing, but i hate it when i think there is something wrong and its just something normal....i feel like im crying wolf and they will begin to not listen when its becomes a real problem.......its very painful and i get very bloated and it takes a couple of days for the distention of my tummy to go down after things get back to normal...........also a question on blood in the stool.....does it look like small grains of sand if its from up higher.......because im going to have to mention that as well if it is a sign of upper bleeding, this is still so new to me and so very confusing.........i am on 9mg of endocort and 100mg of imuran at this time.....

Upper Gi bleeding often looks like coffee grounds.  Please call you doctor right away and at least get their opinion.

I agree with the others however the presence of  coffee ground emesis represents blood altered by  gastric contents and usually means that there has been slow bleeding from the region between the esophagus and the duodeum.

Black tar like stools are seen in upper GI bleed and usually they have a strong odor.......that of old blood.

You should see your physician and let him decided what is going on.  We will all hope for a good outcome for you and keep us posted. ((((HUGS))))
