Hello again, I'm a newbie here. When I have a bad flare up it feels like something is trying to come out of my bellybutton, like the skin could tear open. My CD is in the TI, so why is the pain centered there?? Thank you so much. KC
45 yo not to informed mother of 1. Dx with CD of the TI in 2004 with partical obstruction. Anemic, constant elevated ESR. Tried Pentasa in the past and had just as many flare-ups on as off so I quit, but need to get back on. Meds: Vit B-12 shots monthly, zinc, multi vit, Vit E and soon Pentasa again.

could be an abcess--or a fistula that has led out toward your navel and may abcess. Best to have the doc check it out. Good luck.

I was wondering something similar. I have a lot of pain on my left side when my CD is in the TI as well. I've only been having right side pain for 2 or so weeks while the whole time I was in a flare it was left side pain.

Best to check with your doctor especially if you haven't had a recent scope.
Dx: Crohn’s Ileitis as of 22/02/08
Rx: 4g Pentasa (2 pills 4 times per day)
9mg Budesonide (one capsule 3 times per day for the next 6 weeks)

Pre 22/02/08: 2.4g Asacol (discontinued due to Crohn's Diagnosis)
