I notice a lot of others are having the joint pain right now.  Last night my knee collapsed from under me and my other leg's calf muscle kicked out the night before.  Let's just say I don't want to be falling down in the snow and ice we have.  Can anyone recommend a store brand knee brace (and wrist while we're at it) that will go on a fatter leg and provide some support just to get through the tough days.
By the way.....I slightly injured myself playing Wii.  how sad is that?!?!?!?! tongue   I hyper extended my elbow playing bowling for hours but I had so much fun beating the scores of the 20 year olds.  I now see why this is the latest thing to entertain at senior centers...maybe I should pack up the 40+ year old body and move in

I think Ace is the recognized maker of all sorts of braces and support bandages. Usually can't go wrong with the top brand.

I use Ace and I have a much bigger thigh and calf just get the size that is appropiate. Their wrist bace is sort of uncomfortable but I almost think that is the point-I keep trying to bend my wrist while wearing it.

Mine is Bregg, or something like that.

Ace Brand Knee Brace with side stabilizers provides medial/lateral support and stability, simulating the action of the natural knee ligaments without restricting normal knee movement.  The open knee design surrounds the knee-cap, providing added stability and minimizing slippage. These are available at drug stores, and all the big  Targets, Walmarts etc.

If you are loooking for the hinged brace you should see your physician as they should be fitted to your leg.

Good luck

Habs...first off, stay away from the TV! Medi brand tops the Ace brand hands down. Get you one with the knee hole. Might be a little pricey...but the quality will last you forever!
