That's why I'm on Humira, because I built up antibodies to the Remicade. It's been working great for me for over a year now.

When a person develops antibodies to Remicade, the chances that the person will find success using Humira are only about 20%. However, we have had many people here get good results using Humira when they had to discontinue Remicade.

My personal opinion is that the reason for discontinuing Remicade likely plays a part in whether a person finds Humira effective. Allergic reactions, loss of medication effectiveness, developing lupus antibodies, and developing antibodies to the murine protein are all reasons that people discontinue Remicade. The role these play in Humira's effectiveness are each different.

I did it after developing antibodies and I'll take the real stuff over the mouse protein anyday!
Love my Humira!
