Hello everyone. I am a new member and am glad to find such a supporting and knowledgeable group. In 1998, I had a small bowel blockage and had part of small bowel removed. A week later, i was very ill and not getting any better. Had a exploratory op to find out I had gangrene in small bowel. Had more removed. Now I am left with 1/3 of my small bowel. Diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Never heard of it until then.Have had many complications. Currently taking Remicade every 6 weeks, Purinethol, Lonox, Levsin Sl, Fish oil, Anamantle Cream,Cortifoam, and many other medicines.23 medicines on a daily basis. I "rattle" when I walk. lol.You all have a super day.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Yes, there are people who dont understand this disease. My mother didnt get all there is too it. until i could give her details and all the body parts that can be affected. I am still learning. But i do have a wonderful GI doctor. Bless his heart, he does all he can. There isnt much to work with,,having only 1/3 small bowel left.I have read many of your posts. and I think,, oh, I have that too. it helps to see how ya'll are dealing with it. Again, Thanks.

Just wanted to add my welcome to you also. I look forward to hearing more from you in the future. I would be lost without the support I receive on this board. Know you will feel the same.

God Bless,
