Thanks for the article. I am wondering though, if the immunosupressants are considered the best first option if a patient is not steroid-dependent. I have searched around on the current research articles and can't find any info on that.
49 yr. old female, diagnosed with Crohn's in small intestine and terminal ileum Sept-Oct. 2007. Also have IBS, and had Salmonella Dec. '07
currently taking Pentasa- 8 250mg pills per day, Cipro 1 week/month, Metamucil, probiotics

That is a great question..
I wish I knew the answer BUT I am willing to bet that there are some here that JUST might have the answer or some input .........

Yes, it has been posted here before, and sparked quite a debate about govt funded vs privately funded health care.

It's interesting to see the article from a Canadian perspective, though - thanks.
