HI Catherine and welcome. as for crohns sounding worse, you will find folks here who are quite disabled due to their illness, but luckily, some of us are in pretty good shape. how is your health? yp
48 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. December '06 had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now taking Glycolax, Ultra Fiber Plus, Florastor, and DHEA. Have become gluten-free diet per naturopath's tests.

Your very lucky you have a mild case of Crohns. I too have a mild case, but there are times when even my mild Crohns becomes very serious. Crohns is a very serious illness with alot of very bad symptoms. I am glad your meds are working for you. Keep reading the boards and you will see that Crohns is and can be alot worse than you are experiencing now. I have had this disease for over 32 years, but the last 8 have been the worst. Enjoy your good days.
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.

Welcome to the forum and I have to agree u are very young and I think when you are young for some reason are better handled, maybe you are busy with other things and that helps. I have found as I get older it is not as easy as it once was to deal with. good luck and I hope your outlook can stay as good as it is.
