I just wanted to let you all know that I have been pred. free for 1 week!  I am waiting for the other shoe to drop...but for now am reveling in the joy! yeah I just wanted to share!  I hope that for those of you tapering that you get off soon!!!
Diagnosed with crohn's in January 2008! 
Currently tapering on Prednisone and on Pentasa 1000 mg 4 times a day
On Topamax twice daily for migraines
On nexium while on the prednisone (have been previously diagnosed with ulcers)
I am 27 years old and have been married for 2 years.  I cannot wait to try to have children so I want to get this under control!!

That's awesome :) congrats and general hooray hehehe. I've been off prednisone for probably 4 months or so and I haven't had any problems since. Enjoy it , it's great and I'm glad you're feeling better. :)
Asacol 400mg x 8 dly , 50 mg Mercaptapurine x 1 dly , 40 mg Omeprazole x1 dly , Remicade every 2 months , Multivitamin , Fish Oil ,

Dx: Crohns 1987 probually had since 1982 resections in 1992 an 2002
Gallbladder removed in 1986 The list can go on and on (if you know whatI mean)
Married 25 yr with a 17yr old son

It is so nice to be off of it isnt it? I was so glad to lose the moon face. Luckily it didnt take too long.
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.

Congratulations on being free from my most hated/most loved drug!
Just trying to be a "Regular Member".
Entocort 9 mg/day, Pentasa 4 gm/day, started Humira 1/22/08, started 100 mg of Azasan (Imuran) 2/20/08. I'm convinced that Prednisone is the root of all evil, and primarily responsible for global warming.
