Geesh. How patient must one be????
I have been in the bathroom at LEAST 15 times today and what do I have to show for it? Just blood.
I am so sick of this. All I get is blood, gas, bloody gas and all the same. Once in awhile a normal BM(with blood
in it of course). I am back on track for iron deficiency again and hearing how I don't look sick. Well, I don't feel sick
exactly, I am am just sick of bleeding all the day and night and would like some relief from the pain and bloating.
I am complaining up a storm I know it, sorry.
I am just at my wits end. Do I go all liquid for a couple days? I have already taken all the refined sugars out of my
diet(and I actually am doing worse for whatever reason). The meds poison me, I am allergic to everythin pretty much so
far. I can take prednisone but you all know what that accompishes. Nothing really except a temporary lapse and a great big fat weight gain. Don't need that.
Thanks for listening.

First off, a big ((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))) for you!

I totally understand your frustration Sharann, I've got a couple of questions/suggestions for you...

Are you taking probiotics daily?

Are you taking fibre supplements daily? (have you or do you have blockage/obstruction issues?)

It's great you've cut out all the refined sugars from your diet and please don't be discouraged and end up adding it back in because you're doing worse, cutting that out is just one step in the right direction.

What about fast-foods, frequent processed foods, caffeine, animal fats, are these (or most of these) a staple in your diet? They can all exacerbate IBD symptoms.

Do you drink sodas, carbonated beverages, alcohol, water, tea?

Regarding fibre supplements, my GI told me to take them daily and indefinitely and it's done wonders (once my system adjusted to it, which can be quick if you stick with it everyday), and probiotics are also definitely a must...a good one I take daily is primadophilus reuteri made by natures way, only one/day is needed and it also aids with lactose intolerance, high cholesterol and for women, vaginal health.

Also, are you able to get in any kind of exercise or physical activity at least 4 days/week? Also a huge benefit for the bowels, bones, joints, mind and overall health.

Where all is your CD affecting? Large and/or small bowel, rectom?

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it!  LOL  :)

Pb4 is on the right track so I will just give you a big hug((((Sharann))))..I have been there. I also found that creamed potatoes helped me. I boil and mash them and run them through a ricer. Of course we are all different, but it may help you. Now for the physical activity pb4 talked about, I find kicking helps. Next time someone tells you ," you dont look sick", try kicking them square in the @$$. You will feel better right away...

Hey there and thanks pB4, Sniper, Eric.
I have my moments and the last 4 days have been one big fat ugly moment!
I am very diet conscious now and hoping this will help. Today is MUCH better than
yesturday. I just have one question. If I fart under the covers while using a heating pad,
will I cause an explosion?
Ok, so again, thank you for the hugs, same to you guys.
I am reading a book called Clean Eating by Tosca Reno and hope this will give me some inspiration.
Take care all

I hope you feel better, the frustration can be so overwhelming.

As far as the explosion goes, as long as there are no sparks, you should be ok. But remember, they're not always farts that come out...
