A year after two successful 'cade infusions, I am flaring........I know I'm wife knows I am flaring.....but is that good enough for the Doc? No......
So, before we procede with "possible unneccessary treatment options" he is putting me back on Hyoscyamine
this time, double strength....and if, after a week or so, I dont get any relief, we will go on to the next step.....
Because, as he said, I might not have chrons right now.................... eyes

Wowwee.... isn't it funny how us patients who have lived for so many years with this disease have absolutely no clue when our illness is active? NOT!!!! I feel for you. I really hope he doesn't take his time coming to the conclusion that you just might be in a flare again.
Hoping you feel better very much sooner than later...

Yeah, and "you don't LOOK sick either!!!!" HA hahaha
This is what drives me berzerkers with these folks. When will they
realize that the patient knows, they know. When you say you are flaring
you might actually have a clue.
Hope your flare is short lived.

So.... Crohn's really isn't a chronic disease?!? It comes and goes??? I think this is a major medical revelation. Or maybe, just maybe, your Dr. doesn't know what he is talking about.

Wish mine would go and not come back.

I wonder if this Doc is competent to treat you....

I am so sorry you are flaring again... I started up recently as well. My Doc requested I make an apt before he would refill my imuran (azropthrine sp?) so he has perfect timing.

I am lucky my Doc keeps trying to get me into remission and is sympathetic. I hope yours realizes you can probably tell a flare is coming even before it starts. Heck I can and I have only known about this disease for a year now.

good luck!

I know how you feel.  I started to flare back in august 06 and had been in remission for a year before that thanks to remicade.  Even with a CT and a CTE showing active CD he still and I quote "patient still claims to be flaring" I only know that because I had to get a copy of my PPD test to my new doc prior to humira can you believe that and 1 of those tests was done 1-8-07 and I was hospitalized for a perforated ilium on 2-11-07
