My last post was sort of *****y, I saw as I re read it. Anyone that was around last year when I was posting could probably see I was stuggling with this diagnosis. I was so happy when I was able to get off all the meds and feel normal. I was just sure they made a mistake (it wouldn't be the first time in history) and then to start having symptoms again was or I should say is soooo disappointing.
If I can just find the right doctor and the right medications I'm sure I can handle it. Those two things are no easy task where this disease is concerned. I was so happy when reading other post that I am not the only one that feels like prednisone is evil. That made me feel better for telling the new doc that was not going to be the first thing done in my treatment (even before testing).
Anyway don't want to get started again just wanted to say I'm glad you are all here so I don't feel so alone. I feel like I can say anything here and someone will understand.
Diagnosed 4/07 with Crohn's after hospital stay. Meds: Asacol, Librax, Azathioprine, Prednisone, Prozac, Buspar, and Xanax and percocet PRN.

No worries about your last post. It is quite normal to have issues regarding dx, and finding the right meds.

Hmmm...I have done my share of whining on healingwell and I always get back support and understanding. I hope to give the same when I am having a good day and someone else is in need of help. So, hugs and good wishes to you and I hope that you are able to find the right meds or other treatments for you.

Hey, Nana! I doubt that ANYONE, including you, has been as b*tchy here in the forum than I have been at times!! Don't sweat the small stuff. We've all been thru "those" moods.

I have...big time b*tchy when I first came to HW, not a very good impression but it happens, of course I felt bad about it too and thankfully things health wise got on better track so that helped...just goes to show that HW is an extended family, through the good times and the bad, the way it should be...so don't sweat it Nana.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it!  LOL  :)

Vent away!
26 Year old married female law student.  Diagnosed w/ CD 3 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD.  I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid.  For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn.  I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13.  I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium.  Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night.  I alos take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.
