I have been on 6-mp since Nov of 07. It has worked as far as Crons is concerned. I have no symptoms as of today. However one side effect that is happening aprox every 3 weeks is a day of two of serious fatigue where I cant get it together at all. I am taking a B-12 suplement and most of the time is seems to help. But for example today I am just running on empty and nothing I do picks me up...I have tried the B12 sup, cookies, Monster laying under the sun for 15 -20 minutes trying to rejuvinate.
My question is for those of you taking immunosupressents what do you do on your worst fatigued days? Is there something that I am missing that can really help?

I too am on 6-mp for 4 months now.  I also feel tired but mostly in the am until about 11:00am.  Once I get up and going I feel much better.  I am supplimenting with a multi vitamin and b-12 along with Calcium too.  I think fatigue is just par for the course with the meds.  I also have Shingles right now and would deal with this anytime over Crohn's flare ups!!  The 6 mp has obviously lowered my immune but it sure has kept my Crohn's under wraps. Have tried Asacol in past and had terrible headaches and Prednisone is the wonder drug for me for really bad flareups but it has been a long time. Mercaptopurine seems to be working for me.

Good luck. Get a good night sleep.
