fingernails....not a crohns question

   Anyone else ever notice this, I was outside yesterday at a graduation and it started to get really cold and my fingernails went from blue to a dark purple I don't ever remember this happening.....

Do you have Raynaud's syndrome? I don't know if that's another of the auto-immune family.
49 yr. old female, diagnosed with Crohn's in small intestine and terminal ileum Sept-Oct. 2007. Also have IBS, and had Salmonella Dec. '07
currently taking Pentasa- 8 250mg pills per day, Cipro 1 week/month, Metamucil, probiotics

If you notice it again in cold weather you should tell your doctor-also look for red rigid fingertips or shriveled white finger tips or painful hands fingers when exposed to cold-mine hurt for up to an hour after comming in out of the cold.

I would suggest that if you don't take B12 that you see your gastro and him/her do a simple B12 blood test done to make sure that it isn't that. If not then you need to have a referal to a specialist that deals with this.

Sounds like raynauds daughter has it, her fingers turn really white and sometimes it's just the tips of some of her can be quite severe for some people, you should get your doc to check it out to be on the safe's an auto-immune disorder.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it!  LOL  :)
