I had a capsule study back in December. The battery typically lasts for eight hours. So you get pictures of everything as far as your GI tract takes the capsule in that eight hours. I was in the middle of a very bad flare when I had my capsule done. It went from stem to stern in four hours flat. My doc said, "Gee, it's too bad you already had your colonoscopy done. We wouldn't have had to do it if we knew we were gonna get pictures of the whole tract in four hours." Swell.
So it depends on how fast your system moves the capsule in the eight hour battery life. As far as picture quality, they were great.. of *everything* all the way out.

Entocort 9 mg/day, Prednisone 20 mg/day, Pentasa 4 gm/day, started Humira 1/22/08, started 100 mg of Azasan (Imuran) 2/20/08. I'm convinced that Prednisone is the root of all evil, and primarily responsible for global warming.
