Hey guys,
I'm trying to find out if anyone takes any protein shakes, without giving them any diarrhea or gas... I heard that Muscle Milk brand has a lactose free protein/meal replacement shake that is ready to drink, has anyone tried it? Any suggestions? Is it safe to drink during flare-up?  (Ensure and Boost did not agree with me at all...)

As far as amino acid --if the peptide is already small in the drink then the digestive enzymes wont hafta work as hard. I think more gastro malabsorption problems are lipid related not protein related. protein always good for new cell growth:) altho i havnt looked at the ingredients

Try a whey isolate. It's a little more expensive but more pure, so less likely to cause indigestion.

I haven't tried that one, but not really liking Ensure or Boost, I have opted for the SimFast, Gluten free, lactose free/"easy to digest" shakes. the chocolate is really good...

I would completely avoid any milk based drink.  There are lots of non allergenic protein drinks out there, based on rice and/or peas, even hemp.

Yes, I have used it, and I really like it. I mixed it with water, instead of milk.
