Well, now I got to thinking about
Hashimoto's and wondering "what's the difference" and "all this time I've said I have a thyroid disease, but is it a condition or disease?"
So I found this link which may be helpful:
Here are the symptoms I've attributed to (or blamed on!) hypothyroidism that I experience -- fatigue, extreme sensitivity to cold in my fingers, the bottom of my feet itch!, of course the goiter, hmm...that's about
it. I had issues with my thyroid while I was pregnant and they had to monitor it closely. My mother, in her early 50's, also has hypothyroidism...she was dx and started taking medications while she was pregnant with me. She now has very bad osteoporosis and has very thin hair, which her doctors said was a result of the hypothyroidism.
