Mama Dove -as a fellow Maine-ah do you know what the bathroom situation is driving from Augusta to Bangor ( I have been up to Vasselborro before so I am comfortable from my office that far). What is the distance between exits? I will be with my boss who is very understanding but I would love to avoid using the woods or his car lol if at all possible. (And I do know about the construction on 295).

Hi Fitzy,

OMG, you are a MAINE-AH??? I don't think I knew that...You must find some of my posts interesting then regarding my hospital treatment at Maine General (if you have read them)

Let's see if I can help you with rest stops here (I don't like it here and seldom trek out further that Augusta myself) tongue But from Augusta to Bangor there would be WATERVILLE exit on 95 (#127) that would give you BK, McD's, hotels, about 18 miles from Augusta (that's my exit), then Fairfield exit on 95 (#133) which has an Irving Truck Stop and Purple Cow restaurant (you will have to look for directional signs once you get off there) then if you continue on 95 the next stop would be Pittsfield (#150) and I am not familar with that town at all but it is the only 'major' town with electricity, tehe) then Newport (#157) another exit with a small town atmosphere that likely has restaurants and such and then as far as I can see by the DeLorme map it's booneyville til Bangor (#182 ?) although it shows some picnic tables on the map which may be rest stops but again, I don't travel far from home since my stint at Maine General...

One good thing is that on I-95, the exit numbers are the mile markers too so you can judge by the exit #'s I gave you how far the next stop should be...Hope you have a nice trip, wave as you go through Waterville...I'm in Winslow tongue

Howlyncat~You deleted BOTH? I must give you one demerit tongue Thank you for that and I will try to repost the link now, if I can remember where and how... yeah Thanks again!!!

I actually know where Winslow is! i have a few friends from there. I am not originally a Maine-ah (born in Mass went to college in NH) but moved here in 2004 and love it most of the time. I do remember your posts about your medical care. I had emailed you a referral to an attorney. Don't know if that was of any help. I was actually curious where you had your bad care and am glad that it is not my doctor! I use the midcoast group in Brunswick. Even if I move to Portland I think I am going to keep my doctors because I am happy with them right now.

Thanks SO much for the exits. It helps with the anticipatory anxiety a lot. Now that I think about it, I think I used the bathroom off the Waterville exit on my way camping once and ended up behind a huge funeral procession when we got back on, all the way through skohegan.
