I am currently taking remecade but I am going to be in a different city than where I normally go this summer.  I am trying to transfer my remicade to the city I'm going to be in. But its turning out to be a lot harder than it should be.  I only want to transfer it for a few treatments and everyone I talk to says that they have to go through insurance and take over all the treatment for remicade.  I was wondering if anyone has any advice on transefering remicade?

I was advised to receive it early if I was going to miss it because insurance is a stickler about it. THere is something about state laws that makes this a problem. You will likely just need to call insurance and talk to the head of the head of the head of the department to get anywhere. Be prepared to get your doctor to go to bat for you too. My insurance did not let me do it and instead let me get my treatment a week early. But, then again, I was only gone 10 days ...
