My old gut has been giving me trouble as of late and I have not had coffee in a while ,but , I am in dire need of a cup this morning. Any sleep I may have had last night had to be had while sitting, if you know what I mean. Dont think coffee could make this a lot worse so I am opting for something that may keep my eyes open until I can get my work done. Whats your opinion of coffee ? Cant live with it, cant live without it ???

Coffee = near death for me.

I opt for the fuse ice tea drinks with caffeine. I think even Red Bull would be safer for me.

I can't live without it!!!!

It does not bother me at all. I also drink only a cup or so a day. I also eat my breakfast with or before the coffee so my tummy is never empty.

I say go for the coffee and drink some water in between so you can stay hydrated.

When I'm having D, I limit coffee to one cup a day, but I tend toward C most of the time, and coffee is my godsend. Good luck with it!

I love everything (almost) about coffee - the taste, smell, warmth, color (with a little milk).... except, it makes the G &D I already have to deal with, worse. I'll have a cup on Saturday or Sunday as a special treat, and just deal with the after effects - sometimes it's worth it. But I miss my daily cup of coffee.

Caffeine is apparently what can exacerbate IBD symptoms so for those who cannot live with out coffee (taste/coffee comfort) then maybe try the decaff if you're prone to being aggrivated by caffeine.

Let's just say my daughter-in-law gave me a new coffee cup that read, "I don't do perky". Coffee is a must have for me. I don't drink sodas but if I did and couldn't do the coffee I might try a Mountain Doo. Some have been know to use this as colonoscopy prep days in place of the coffee too.

I have the odd cup of latte at Starbucks with my girls on occasion. I have a grande , but have only one shot of expresso instead of two.... For me a regular cup of coffee makes my heart palpitate and my BP go sky high.. it doesn't affect my tummy so much.... also , coffee makes my restless legs really bad...but the one shot of expresso with milk and honey seems to be ok... however lately I've changed to green tea lemonades... trying to stay away from the milk because of my high cholesterol.

I look forward to my early morning 2 cups. I figure it's one of the few real pleasures that I have left, so I do it and deal with the consequences. Sure it gives me diarrhea, but so does everything else!

I like a good cup of Cajun Creole coffee. Strong enough to stand a spoon up in. Well not really that strong but you should not be able to see the bottom of the cup. I have had coffee in lots of places and would much rather have a good strong cup, than the weak stuff, I call tea. It just dont cut it. Also it has to have a little sugar in it if anything at all. That splenda, and sweet and low stuff taste like dung. I can put a little cream or milk in it too but not that powered creamer . I put some on an ant hill one time and they moved away. What is that stuff anyway ?? Dont read the label either, its like reading a paint can...

I've been a regular coffee drinker for many years. Been having to make more trips to the bathroom than usual, and stopped coffee and went to tea about 2 weeks ago. It was tough at first, but its much gentler on my system. I LOOOOOOVE coffee, so this has been the pits, but I am enjoying the tea at least.

I have no problems with coffee but give me a iced coffee drink from Sonic and I get so bloated and double over with pain.

i've never been a coffee person but used to rely heavily on energy drinks. i still have one every so often but all that junk packed into them usually is a recipe for disaster.

I've been drinking coffee since I was 6 years old.  Sick or sober, I have at least two cups every morning.  Also, two glasses of wine every night.  Yes, it does keep one busy.

I have not had any trouble with coffee, I will have one or two cups a week though. I drink iced tea but I get the decaf, my thing I can't live without is Dr Pepper. I have to have at least one a day but sometimes two.
