I have never had a flare like this in the past.  This is just lots of watery diarrhea, many times a day, cramping and lots of noisy stomach sounds. I have an appointment next week with my doctor's associate as my doc is away on vacation.  What do you eat to help with the diarrhea.  Is there anything I can do to help it or at this point is it usually a matter of getting on the right medicine??

Thanks

Christine

I would try to stay on a liqud diet until you get in to see the doc. You need to try to give your bowels a rest. You can also try eating banana's, rice, jello, applesauce, toast. Just try to keep your diet really light. Good luck and I hope you get feeling better soon.

Chicken soup is good (just the broth or maybe add pureed carrots). That might help with the fluids.

Hi Christine How's the baby coming? If you feel worse try to go to emerg. sounds like you might be losing lots of fluids. How long has this been going on? Only thing I can say is get some fluids into you and if your not well soon go to emerg. at least they might be able to keep your electrolytes up. Wishing you the best. lol gail

Spaghetti with mozzarella cheese melted on top seems to clog me up pretty good.

Wait Gail...when did I get pregnant??? LOL!! I guess there's 2 Christines...LOL!!! I sure wish my guts loved pasta...it seems they get angry with wheat. I am trying today wheat free...went to GI's partner (mine's on vacation) and they did the usual blood work, etc..stool testing...gave me a home kit for hydrogen breath test and they want a small bowel follow through this week...here we go again!!!

Thanks for all your tips!!
