My GI dr changed my from Pentasa, due to nausea, to liada. I have tried a search for it and nothing comes up. He gave me no side affects or anything??? And of course I didn't ask :-(, KC

I was on Lialda for about 9 months. It didn't help me, but that doesn't mean it won't work for you. My current GI is so great. She told me once that different formulations of 5-ASA are distributed in different locations of the intestine. For instance, Colazal is for the left-side. I don't remember where Lialda gets distributed. Sorry. Maybe someone else would know?

If you google lialda, you should be able to get info about it. Good luck!

I believe Lialda in released in the final portions of the large intestine- I take it for my CD located in the rectum. I never experienced any side effects and I've been on it for something like two years!

I just started Lialda last week. So far I can't tell if it is helpful or not. I did a search for lialda and here's a link to the official webiste:

Hope it helps.
