I write today because I am very sad.  I lost a friend and co-worker two days ago.  She suffered from Crohn's her entire 62 years, having surgery after surgery until there was nothing left to take out.  She began a bout of sickness on Monday and passed away on Wednesday.  She was found in her bathroom.
She was a wonderful person.  She lived alone but had many friends and co-workers who really cared about her.  She worked right up until last week.  Her dedication to her work and her good nature despite this horrid disease was admirable.
I will miss her.

I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

I am sorry for your loss.  There is a bright side to her death though.  no more stupid disease.  now she can live in eternity without in illnesses, not worry about if she can make it to the b/r.  She can eat what ever she wants now.  yeah    Sometimes i wish i was was dead.  does that make sense?
