Well im currently wondering what my GI will do next. I've had my 3rd infusion of remicade already and I was feeling pretty good until he asked me to start tapering my entocort from 9mg to 6mg. well 2 weeks after i switched to 6mg, i slowly noticed alittle pain and slightly less appetite, but actually ended up with a partial bowel obstruction. So im out of the hospital now and I'm at 9mg entocort again. I am wondering if he will keep me on the remicade. I was feeling better after the 2nd infusion quite a bit, but then i was still on the entocort at the time. Any thoughts?

I know when I started, my gi warned me that the remicade can work so well and quickly at times, that it can cause scar tissue from the healing....

I would give it more time. You just finished your loading doses, now you can tweak the dosage and timing if you need to.

I would stay on it a bit longer. If you've had good initial results then I would not attribute the bowel obstruction to "remicade failure". Hang in there a bit longer. Keep us posted on what your GI says.
