Hi all -

I was reading a post the other day about someone who was really frustrated with their doctor - and I feel exactly the same way... it's prompted me to go out and find a better doctor. I live in the central part of Kansas City - close to the Plaza and was wondering if anyone has had good experience with a GI dr. It seems like not many dr's offices will give you good info on the dr's personality or way they do things...

Any help you have would be great! Thanks...

Dr. Buckles over at KU med is ok, but I think it is a trial and error process. You have to go and interview them yourself.
Which is also why I have gone thru 7 GI's
I see Dr. Bansal over KCVA.

I have yet to find a good doctor yet. I had heard that the GI group at Liberty was okay. KUMed was a great place five years ago. Dunno how it is now. Back then, there were a whole bunch of patients I'd met during my stay there that said what I had sounded a lot like Crohn's and since most of them were there for Crohn's... It's neat and wondering I suppose if you add in area clusters. It'd be really interesting wouldn't it, if they checked for that kind of thing.
27/f/CD. 4 CD related surgeries: 2 resections, 2 JP drains, 3 NG tubes, many absesses (including the one my most recent surgery scraped off my ovary) and fistulas.
Currently trying to figure out hip and knee joint pain.
Have lost in these surgeries: appendix, 8 in. intestine, R fallopian tube, gallbladder, 10 in. intestine
Dx'd: February 2007.
Pentasa (and much mental screaming)
