idea  It occurred to me after your suggestion of possible lack of pancreatic enzymes that my lovely gall stone has been moving around on me lately.  Also I have Crohns in my duodernum (spelling)?

Now my hypothesis is this.  The migrating stone which likes to block my duct on occasion could be the cause of the lack of pancreatic enzymes being pumped through my duodernum (spelling again) and into the stomach causing improper digestion and foamy stools.  (Or) it could be yet another side effect rearing it's head from the Imuran/Humira/Predinose cocktails. Any takers on this one!  Where the heck is Sarita!  Any ho.....thanks for the info!

Broom ,have you been eating shaving cream again ???? Blowing bubbles happens to me any time I eat soda crackers. I use crackers to settle an upset tummy so the bubbles are a necessary evil. The sound is sort of neat though..

I've left Sarita a message so she sees this, Broomhilda :-).

Hope you feel better soon,

Woah! What's going on here, broom? What's all this about pancreatic enzymes?

I need some background...but my main question is, if you have gallstones and are symptomatic, how come they haven't taken that thing out?

Ivy- Thank you!

Sarita- It all started with foamy stools. I know I have CD in the duodernum (spelling)? and (a) small gall bladder stone that likes to migrate around and cause me grief. My hypothesis is that the stone is possibly doing it's thing and causing some small blockage that MAY be affecting my pancreatic enzymes. I'm not in any acute or severe pain (yet) just the foamy stools. Since I had not seen these before I had posted here to find out what they were. I'm familar with the different possible colors and causes of stools just not the foamy thing. Haven't called the GI cause I seem to be okay otherwise. Any input would be appreciated especially since I know that the Imuran/Humira/Predinose cocktails I've done could cause pancreatic problems as well. Thanks in advance for your response!

Hey broom, it doesn't SEEM like having a gallstone would really mess with your pancreatic enzymes...if you think of the biliary system like a tree, and the ducts from the gallbladder and pancreas as branches, the gallbladder branch is higher up on the tree than the pancreas branch. The only way I could see problems is if you had an actual stone in your bile duct (which would be considered the trunk of the tree) at a location below the pancreas branch. If that makes any sense. And a bile duct stone...well, you would definitely be insane with agony if you had that.

You haven't been drinking any stream water lately, have you? :)
