I pottered and did some chores between faffing on the internet yesterday, and managed to clean half the kitchen as well as the bathroom sink and shower stall... So, that's some of Sunday's and Monday's work done.

I am still feeling stiff and sore and tired, so am keeping the essential chores short:

* basic chores - make bed, stay on top of dishes, tidy my bedroom (everywhere else is pretty much ok), 5 mins gardening, shower and wash hair.
* get dead fish out of fishpond sad (the other fish is sitting directly beneath it, looking sad)
* do a little exercise and stretching
* meds
* devotions
* curl up in armchair and read

Try to:
* clean a bit more of the kitchen
* vacuum and wash the kitchen floor and / or all the central floors (ha)
* walk down the street, return library book and get book from bookshop
* get the washing off the line, if it dries today
* fold and put away washing
* moisturise my feet
* bring in the bins

Bonus points, completely optional:
* cook something
* clean the toilet
* clean my bedroom mirror
* wash the cat's litter tray
* wash my hair brushes
* walk to the pet shop (a few blocks past the book shop) and buy some new friends for my poor, bereaved goldfish.
* dust some of the obvious surfaces (technically Tuesday's chore)
* add to a letter I'm writing
* sit on the floor in front of midday documentaries etc and start wrapping Christmas presents OR do a bit more ironing

Absolutely! It's now safe for me to walk down the street in 3/4 pants, LOL.

I'm sorry you need to skip work, Looby. How are you feeling?

(((Looby))) I get the guilts too when I call in sick, but you do need to think of yourself first. Have a good rest and I hope that gets you to feeling better :)
My Pacting today:

Ivy - Sam had some good stories, will have to put them in a letter as they involve 'famous people' or should I say 'infamous'. I have to tell you I read your reply post to kimmy2 and it brought tears to my eyes, very eloquently put with lots of your heart in it :)
Have a good day everyone

My day took an immediate turn for the better when I had a surprise visit from an old and warm and upbeat acquaintance, who I hope will eventually turn into an old, warm and upbeat friend. I felt a bit perkier after that, so was able to potter around and achieve a few things. So far I've:
* walked down the street (EXHAUSTING), returned the library book and bought my book that was on order (and, while I was at it, found and bought another Christmas present)
* got the dead fish out of the pond
* sowed the tarragon seeds
* done all the basic chores
* brought in the bins
* cleaned another small section of the kitchen

and will try to knock off a few more five minute jobs before bed.

Looby, I hope your doctor's appointment went well and that you're feeling a bit better when you see this.

Jo, I'm really looking forward to hearing your stories! Your letter is still half-written, btw - all my writing has been interrupted with the major life disruptions that have been happening here lately.

April, how was your first day at work? Trick or treating sounds heaps of fun - did you dress up too?
