good for you for finally getting a diagnosis.......every little bit of stress relief helps, although the disease itself causes a good bit of stress and anxiety....just gotta stay positive, smile whenever you can, even when looking at the bad stuff, just that little motion of the mouth and cheeks can bring a good amount of healing, lol......on other notes....i also had some pretty intense inflammation when they did my colonoscopy, they started me on 40mg of prednisone and 9 pills of asacol per day....didn't notice any relief for the first couple weeks....hate telling you that its gonna take awhile, but relief should come eventually, everyone's different....they actually had to put me on stronger steroids in the hospital through IV, can't remember the name of it though...and all the antibiotics, and purinethol, and finally the blessing, for me anyway, the Remicade....i guess you gotta go through a bunch of other drugs first before you get to sample the big boy, but remicade saved my life, now with that and the others together, i'm safely in remission for now, and enjoying life again......you will get there too, just hang in there!!!
