Well, A little over 5 weeks ago I finally let my doctor admit me for what was hopefully a few days on TPN. Turns out my obstruction was not going away and I was severely malnourished. Ended up being on TPN for 2 weeks before they would do surgery because I was so bad. Finally got my surghery done and everything went great for 2 days. Only needed 12 inches removed this time.

Then I started bleeding internally!! That was not fun. I had blood coming out both ends. I ended up getting 5 units of blood over 3 days plus 2 units of Plasma, before my bleeding would stop. They really didn't want to go back in whiole I was bleeding if they didn't have to and I was not bleeding at a trmendous rate. Needless to say I had a good week of not really knowing what was going on around me. Oh and I totally went out on them while sitting up. One of those "Any docotor Stat" type things. That was a very odd experience.
Well one night I just stopped bleeding and eventually started on the healing process. They tell me I am about 2 weeks behind in what my normal healing and recovery would be. It is very frustrtating but because of being so sick I was on bed rest for quite a while and because of being so weak to start with I have pretty much lost all my muscles in my legs. I can now get around with a cane a little bit but really just around the house and such. Other than that I have to go in a wheeel chair.

But atleast I am home now and hopefully will start recovering my stregnth a bit faster.

Geez I hope I get a long remission from this surgery!!! My last one gave me 5 years and I made it 11 years between surgeeries. So hopefully I get atleast that.

So that is my update. It has been forever since I have been near a computer let olone on here, so I don't even know if you all remember me....

Geez did you a rough go of it!! So sorry you had such a hard time, but I am glad you are at least on the road to recovery. Be sure you take it easy, I think its going to take extra time for you to build up your strength with so much blood loss. I will definetly keep you in my prayers that you get a long long remission after this.

sorry to hear that you got it so bad my friend. That must have been the worst time of your life. I am glad that you are on the mend though. Take it easy and stay safe. Don't push yourself to hard, just let the recovery go smooth and slow, so it will be a lasting one...

God Bless.
