Even if you don't have a gynecologist, you should get checked. You're nineteen so you should've had your first pap smear and such. Don't wait for a doctor to refer you since you can just as easily make an appointment at a Planned Parenthood. They work on a sliding scale pay grade and THEY can send you on to a good gyne if they can't aid you (they are primarily female health/pregnancy/prevention places). At least, I've always found that the visit is not as unpleasant as other doctors in that Planned Parenthood is willing to listen and discuss concerns.
27/f/CD. 4 CD related surgeries: 2 resections, 2 JP drains, 3 NG tubes, many absesses (including the one my most recent surgery scraped off my ovary) and fistulas.
Currently trying to figure out hip and knee joint pain.
Have lost in these surgeries: appendix, 8 in. intestine, R fallopian tube, gallbladder, 10 in. intestine
Dx'd: February 2008.
