ok- so today, 20 years after being diagnosed with Crohn's my diagnosis officially switched to UC...weird.

20 yrs is a long time to be misDX but I'm not surprised that you're misDX only that it took 20 yrs.

That is really interesting, it is usually the other way around. Most people seem to be misdiagnosed with U.C. and the switched to Crohn's. This might be a good thing as you may be able to have the surgery to remove your colon and and disease section of you bowel and get rid of the disease. I have a close friend that has U.C. and he had the surgery and now he is pretty much cured from most of the problems. Good luck.

I went from CD, to UC to IBS... it's CD, I know. Kinda hard to have a CT that shows CD and then have them say it's not. Beginning to think that doctors do this so they can do their little defensive medicine thing. You are keeping your records, right?

That is frustrating. I went from a UC diagnosis to CD. My current doc (of course) thinks it's really been CD all along.

tsitodawg, actually it WOULD be completely gone if someone had their entire colon removed and actually had Ulcerative Colitis
