So, I thought I was doing better. Was at the end of my second week after a humira injection and had been on the cipro for almost 2 weeks. Cooking Thanksgiving for 18 was tiring but good. I didn't eat much but I didn't get sick either and I felt strong enough on Friday to take a 2 mile walk--first time in months! Was due to take the injection on Sunday but things got crazy.

Sunday morning, I became the diarrhea faucet again. Mid Sunday afternoon, I had the worst panic-anxiety attack. Shakes, weakness, headache. D continued. Was in such a state, I couldn't do the injection. Codeine was helping but only for four hours---instead of 6-8.

Yesterday, I had two big poop accidents. Chills, shakes, fever, weakness, anxiety, pain and my r-v was POURING poo! Took my humira injection. Codeine still only working for a few hours. Losing more weight, headaches, muscle aches. ARGH!

What happened? How did I go from being so excited that the end of the second week wasn't bad to utter yuckiness? I'm behind in work and taking today off. A mess.

Thanks for listening. . .

Sorry your going through this. I know what you mean though. It sort of ambushes you at time. Like out of a clear blue sky, wham...But then again it can get better just as fast so hang in there and I hope its a short attack...

Dear goodness I'm sorry :( I'm on my fifth dose of humira and things are getting worse too wouldn't you know?
Let us know how you're feeling please. Again, I'm really sorry this is happening. It's astounding how frustrating things can get with Crohn's sometimes.

Just going to throw this out there. Maybe one of your Thanksgiving guests gave you something that set you off? My FIL and my Step Mother both arrived with colds, so you know who's home sick today! Of course they were both better in a couple of days, while I'll be sick for weeks.

But whatever set you off, I hope you feel better soon.

thanks so much for the support everyone. Today was so hard---I was up allllll night pooping so I was exhausted. Codeine did nothing. ??? Got to work and things were ok. But tonight my r-v gas gave me 3 poopy accidents. YUCK!!!! so depressing so gross.

How do we do this? I just don't know how I'm going to get through the next minute sometimes. I could win an academy award for improvisation.

Everytime I think Im well - BAM - this insidious disease flares. Im always to scared to ever say Im in remission, because as soon as I voice it, I flare. Sorry to hear how tough you are doing it and I do hope the Humira kicks in soon for you.
