Hi Kaycie, have you talked to your doctor about your sleeping problem. ppl with cd needs atleast 8 hours sleep.
Yup, they are aware. I'll be off the Pred this week and with the buzz of the holidays and the "mental" stress I'm under, I'm hoping once I get a few days off and we through all this, it'll get better. I think I'll probably take some Ambien once I get off the Pred.
I should note I'm dealing with high blood pressure because of Pred. And, I'm on Xanax .25mg/day and Hydroclorathiazide (sp?) - 25mg.
Anyway, I think all my issues combined have just left my mind unable to settle down at night. I'm trying all my tricks, and they just aren't working. Just going to hope once the Pred is out of my system, this too gradually gets better... the weekends aren't bad because if I am up all night, I can at least sleep in, but the weekdays can be VERY tough at times. If I miss sleep at night, i try to catch up with a late afternoon nap with my 16 month old. It's only about
30min-1 hour but if I only got a few hours of sleep the night before, I feel MUCH better...
Thanks for the response tho. I do have a script
for Ambien, but only as needed and I've only taken it maybe 3-4 times. Usually a Xanax will cut it, but since I'm taking it daily now for blood pressure, it seems to have lost it's effectiveness...
