how big is your poop...sorry in advance

ok so day 6 in the hospital and I have turds again Yae (but I start colonoscopy prep today go figure right haha). Well my poops are like before kinda flat not very long or skinny if the are round. I have had this going on at home for awhile but they seem to be getting smaller. So when you have a formed bm how big around should it bed. And I am especially looking for those who have had resection surgeries as I had one back in 98 were they took part of my colon and ilieum. Thanks folks!

Hi I would say not exra large and vary in size and sometimes I have a bit of D if I don't keep eating banana's on a regular plan.Good luck with your prep, and let us know how things are going. lol gail

I often have ribbonized fecal, but I know when things look fine is when it is rounded eliptical in cross section. It will never get back to normal due to the intestinal scarring...

Mine are typically narrow and skinny. I have a stricture.....
Diagnosed with Crohn's March 2006, Fibromyalgia November 2008
Asacol 3 times a day, Remicade 10mg/kg every 4 weeks, Prednisone 10 mg, Miralax,  Prevacid 30mg, Vit B12, Vitamin D, Slow-FE (Iron), Hydrocortisone enemas
Imuran stopped 9/8/08 (possible Pancreatitis)
Paxil 40mg daily (for Panic disorder)
Xanax .5mg as needed (for anxiety attacks)

When things are getting a little bit better for me they are generally still a lot more in number than when I wasn't sick and neither large nor small. Just in between..They start out how you describe yours now though. It's not consistent all the time I mean there was normal and D for me today for instance, but that's generally how it is..
20 years old, Diagnosed with moderate to severe Crohn's and Colitis in May of 2008.
Currently taking:
Prednisone 20 mg, pentasa 2 pills 4x a day, bentyl as needed, omeprazole in the morning, multivitamin, humira every other week, and good probiotics.
Surgery for ectopic pregnancy most likely the result of severe Crohn's inflammation in July of 2008.
Attempting a diet without refined sugars, high fat content, bleached or bromated flour, most dairy, red meat, and avoiding anything spicy like the plague. Also refuse to eat anything with trans fat or high fructose/corn syrup.
