Paul---INSIST that the doctor does a culture. Thrush or Fungal infections are not helped by antibiotics, they help the stuff to grow.
I hope leangreencafe returns... Exactly what kind of culture are you referring to?
Oggy, don't get confused! Like I said before, you are doing a good job here trying to figure out your issue/issues (you may have more than one thing going on). I can only offer what I would do which would be to start with a good probiotic and eliminate all junk food, sugar and possibly wheat. Changing the acidic environment, as leangreen suggested, is also a great idea. Do this for a few weeks and see if you notice any changes.
There are lots of great books on how to clean up your diet and eat ultra-healthy. One that comes to mind is "The Maker's Diet" by Jordan Rubin. His personal story of how very sick he was at just about
your age and how he took control and restored his health, is in itself inspiring as well as educational!
Mom to 16 year old son diagnosed in June, 2007.
Omega 3s, digestive enzymes, probiotics, vit. C, calcium w/D3, a good multivitamin and SCD legal yogurt
Started The Maker's Diet in Sept. '07. Incorporate Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) recipes, too.
