I hold fluid all the time an it drives me crazy! I am 55kg or 120 pounds and can go up a dress size in a heart beat. Does anyone notice fluid retention and how can I stop or avoid it because it makes me feel so frumpy and I get so sick of it. Do you think it is from inflammation? why does the body need to hold onto fluid?

I would really appreciate the opinions as you all seem to be so knowledgeable about these little things. x x smilewinkgrin

according to dr. batmanghelidj's book "you're not sick, you're thirsty" you can lose weight just by increasing your water intake. the loss in weight will be the loss of edema fluid stored by the body tissues to operate the reverse system of water delivery into vital cells. so maybe you're dehydrated and that is what is causing the rapid increase in fluid retention? but it could also be brought about by the meds - does the weight gaint happen near the time you take imuran? just an off the wall suggestion.....
