Hi, Ive had Crohns for about 6 years and recently went to my doc to ask bout going off my meds so i can have another baby. I am unsure of what to do as I don't want to risk having a flare up if i go off them, but also don't want to hurt the baby if i stay on them! My doc said he would research and get back to me to see if i can have low dose of imuran and be ok but i am not keen on the idea. With my last child i went off all meds and was great until the day after he was delivered so should i take the risk again???????? confused

Many women on this board have had healthy pregnancies and babies while they had used Imuran, Remicade, or Humira etc. The concept is that it is better to keep mom on meds. A healthy mom produces a healthy baby. I am sure Inflamed, Stef17 or Chastity who just all recently had babies will be on soon to share their successes. I know that Stef17 had 3 babies and was on either Remicade or Humira for all three. Good luck!
