So I've been miserable for the past 5 days, in the bathroom most of the time. My dr thinks I have C diff. I have to have stool sample tests done to confirm, but I'm assuming at this point that's what's going on. I read online about it, but I still have questions. I read that usually you take another antibiotic, usually Flagyl, but for how long? Also, how long until you start seeing some change in bowels? Are there good foods to eat, things that seem to help symptoms? I've been eating more bland foods-cereal, yogurt, pastas, but I don't know if some of what I'm eating may be doing more harm than good. I'm going to go grocery shopping today-are there things that I should try?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, they use flagyl for c diff. When my dr. tested me for it, I had to do 2 samples because the test has a high rate of false negatives.

My doc thought I had C Diff...I told them over and over again that I didn't..they still tested and they were wrong I was right Probiotics are a good thing to use, it helps to re-establish the "good" bacteria in your gut which keep the c-diff bacteria in check. I was hoping I didn't have c-diff because I am allergic to Flagyl
