I would see your obgyn doctor if it continues to be really heavy.
I've had light bleeding from missing a pill but not heavy at all.

It is normal. Any time I missed a pill I would get my period - full on.
27 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

Yup, Even if I just take my pill late. Like the few times I have been in the ER and gotten home in the middle of the night. I will end up having a full on period.

Yes, it has happened to me before. Not every time I have missed a pill, but I wouldn't worry about it. If it continues longer than a regular period, I would talk to your doctor just to be sure that it isn't something else.

At least you're getting a period though - I haven't gotten mine this month (not on BC anymore either, I stopped all meds a few months ago), which I suspect is because of my drastic weight loss :( It's pretty scary!

Yup, stop taking your pill and that's what happens. You should start to be normal again either your next period or the one after if you start taking your pill after this one is through.
