My mother recently had a colonoscopy  and dx with irritable bowel and was given a prescription for PEG. She is confused,  as we all are when just waking up and doesn't know what it is. Any ideas?

PEG is an aconym for lots of things, including a feeding tube and the chemcial polyethylene glycol. Ask you doc. It difficult in the beginning because you don't even know what questions to ask. So make a list of questions and make sure your doctor answers all of them. Sometimes their assistants/nurses are very helpful in answering questions when the doc is busy.

Take care.
