confused  have been on Imuran 150 mg for about 4 years.  I came off Entocort in October.  I am having a flare (found out by CT scan and colonoscopy about 8 weeks ago.)  My temp is running anywhere from 99.2 to 100 and has been for about 6 weeks.  I realize this is not a fever; however, it is high for me-not to mention that it makes me feel almost flu-like.  I usually run about 97.6 to 98.9.  Well, I had to go to Dr. yesterday for kidney stones.  He looked thru my chart and he had recieved info from my Gastro. Which I have an apt scheduled with my GI in about two weeks. Yesterday, My primary Doc said things were not looking so good with me being on Imuran and continuing to have "active crohns" - He said I needed to be in the hospital.  It caught me off guard, so that's why I'm asking you guys the following question:  "Why do I need to be in the hospital?"   I just started today back on Entocort 9 mg.  I guess I just want to know what you guys think-  I am a little afraid...  It doesn't take much to get me "worked up" as far as my fear.  I told mama what was going on and she said back when I was 15 years old and first started having symptoms and got diagnosed by my intestines rupturing-  Mama said before all this happened that my temp would run higher than usually like it is now.    Any advise is appreciated.  Thank you!! confused

HI Bible Not sure why your Dr. said you needed to be in the hospital but it is the best place sometimes to get good care. Is he wanting to admit you? With your rupture in the past it might be a good place where they can keep a eye on things. Perhaps he wants to start a IV to make sure you don't get hydrated or IV meds. Keep in touch and let us know how your doing.. lol gail

Hi Bible,

I'm really hope you get some relief soon! I suggest you call you docotor today and ask him why he thinks you should be in the hospital. I would also ask him to help get you in to your GI ASAP (sooner than 2 weeks) so you can talk to him/her about it.

Take care!
