Is your pain on one side or centred. Is it deep (in the back) or shallow. Does it hurt when you go to the bathroom (not cramp) but hurt. Is it constant or does it come and go. Is it positional (change position or get better or worse depending upon whether you are standing, sitting or lying down?) What kind of pain is it? sharp, burning, dull, aching? These are the kinds of questions you need to ask yourself. Document, and if it is still bothering you touch base with your GP. If you have answered these questions, your GP will have a much easier time assessing your problems.

The pelvic area is where i have 90% of my pain during my flare ups.  It will shoot from either side of my intestines right to my testicles.  It is probably different in males and females but it is the worst feeling I have ever felt.  I have been to the ER a few times just for the pain and even then after being put on a delauded pain pump the pain will not go away.  I am having  the pain right now and have been for about 5 days.  My surgeon put me on percocet and it seems to take the edge off but I still am overcome in pain at times.  I am having surgery in 4 days on friday.  Hopefully this will take away the pain and I can resume a "normal" life.  Good luck with your pain and I hope you find a way to cope. turn

When I first got sick, my symptoms started with the perianal crohn's skin tags, my pelvic/pubic bone area felt like it was on fire, aching and horrible, I'd never felt anything like it in my life. I didn't do anything specific for the pain because I couldn't find anything to aid with it so I just suffered through it until it ran it's course...luckily I've never felt that again in that area.

I too get pelvic pain when I am flaring. As PB4 described it starts with the skin tags swelling, then the pelvic bone hurts, my tailbone is also a source for a lot of pain for me. So far no signs of anything serious just the crohns active in the anal area according the butt specialist. MRI showed sollen glands but nothing serious. Hot baths and heating pads are the only thing I find that helps.
