You might want to get that checked by your doctor, because once you get one autoimmune disease it is more likely to get another.

I also have very dry skin. Make sure your drinking lots of fluids because dehydration is extremely common if your experiencing even mild diarrea. Try to avoid carbonated beverages and ones with caffeine. They tend to promote dehydration. I drink lots of water and Koolaid as well as Gatorade. Good luck.

I also have VERY dry skin, it's so bad that I put vasiline on my face before bed some nights, I just thought it was from the gas heat in my house drying out my skin, never had that problem before I had crohns, but also never have had gas heat in my house, we have always had electric, until October 08 So not sure exactly the cause. My cheeks do look like they have a rash on them!

Im not sure if its the Crohns or the heat in my house combined with the cold dry air outside.  But every winter my skin gets extremely dry, and it gets better as the weather gets warmer.

I have been experiencing the same thing the past few days.  I have this red rash on my face I had no idea what it was from.  Do you really think it could be the crohns?

It's common for crohnies to have dry skin and other skin issues...I use extra virgine olive oil as a body moisturizer everyday and it's done wonders, I eat it daily as well.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)

I have had Crohn's for 27yrs now. But the problems with my skin did not start until about seven years ago. I started getting sores on my arms. They stay most of the time a few healing moe breaking out. This last visit to the hospital - liquids only for days helped clear it up. I went to several dermatologist but never had one that knew a great deal about Crohn's skin problems. They are still mostly healed just got out of hospital. I would like to try the olive oil my skin is really dry too..

DRINK LOTS OF WATER! Take vitamin E supplements as well as a vitamin E oil for the dry patches. If it gets worse, see the doc and he should give you a cream

My face is like a F-in Zahara :S
I am so dry and I scrubb and use good creams but nothing.
I am maybe good for the first hour but then back to the dry zahara look.
